The Rambler in London

Stock of The Night of the Rambler in the iconic New Beacon Books in Finsbury Park, London. New Beacon was a pioneering publishing house in the ’60s and the ’70s focusing on Caribbean literature. Instrumental in the development of British black writing, they published the likes of Wilson Harris, Andrew Salkey, Kamau Brathwaite and Erna Brodber. Today the bookshop on the Stroud Green Road is a bastion of Caribbean and African interest and is home to the George Padmore Foundation.
